Today was by far my favorite of the three days I have done to observe. I was able to work with one chosen student who needs a little bit more help and also go around to different groups while they were working and listen to them do the activities. Also, I got my first experience with channel one and I think that this is a great concept and could really be good for everyone to have because it can keep the students informed on what is going on in the "real" world. While this was taking place I was able to help some students on a project and with things they were struggling with. I love the idea of getting to interact with the kids and help them. This was my first experience with this group of kids and seeing them in a more regular schedule due to the testing time being over for right now. I know that as I get to know the students more I will get to help them and learn more about what their thoughts are on various topics. I also enjoy watching the teacher because I think she is a great example on what to do because she has a variety of activities for them to do related to what they are learning about, which helps accomadate for the idea that all of the kids learn things in different ways and need some help in certain areas more than others. I think that observing will teach me a lot and I feel I am very lucky to have signed up with such a great example.
